Mike “Duckabee” double talks to Tim Russert. Not a good thing to do. He took two steps forward and one step backward, ducking and dodging, all the way to claiming his statements “almost prophetic” concerning Pakistan. Now, the question is, does he know where Pakistan is? He certainly has proved that he doesn’t know what’s going on there…. until last week he still thought Pakistan was under military rule.
He wants to send ”illegal immigrants” home, even though their children may be American citizens. So, send the kids with them. That is ludicrous! On the other hand, he said that our economy would collapse without them. How’s that for an economic plan? Of course, he back tracked by saying that “all of them wouldn’t go home on the same day.” Well, no! Probably not! They aren’t going anywhere, Mike! They are here and even if you part the Rio Grande so they can walk through, these people aren’t going to walk back to Mexico or anywhere else. They are here and unless you have plans to round them up and put them on a plane or train or bus, they are staying here. So, let’s try to figure another way to deal with this, okay?
Russert questioned him on “divine intervention” being a part of his campaign, especially since he believes we should take this country back for Christ, a statement made by Huckabee earlier. Of course, he also stated he wouldn’t have any problem with an atheist in his cabinet. His nose grew an inch. He went on to say that homosexuality is an aberrant behavior. He closely linked it to pedophilia in his 1998 book, but discounted the link on Sunday’s Meet the Press.
Mr. Huckabee may be a Biblical scholar (I’ll give him that since I’m not qualified to take exception.) but listening to him double speak on the subjects that U.S. Presidents address on a daily basis scares the hell out of me. Amen! The soft spoken preacher is probably one who could inspire from the pulpit and that’s where he belongs… back in the church.
