Ron Paul Out-Foxed
Ron Paul, one of this political season’s egnimas, did not receive an invitation from Fox News to the upcoming New Hampshire Republican debate to be held Saturday. Once again, Fox shows that they control the news! Is it that Ron Paul isn’t “republican” enough for them?
Fox has explained they invited the candidates to the debate that have a chance of being in double digits in the polls. The follow-up excuse was there wasn’t enough room in the Fox makeshift debate arena, a bus. Oh, pleeeeease!
I’m not a Ron Paul supporter but I am more than willing to listen to what he has to say. That’s what campaigning is about. Listening and then making a judgment. The people of New Hampshire will not be forced to vote for Ron Paul, but he has qualified to have his name on the primary ballot. They deserve the opportunity to hear him in the debate forum.
Once again, the media is making the decision for us, not presenting the news. How many times over the past years has the media led us down the wrong path and helped us make choices without all the information? Dare I mention WMD? Dare I mention the War in Iraq?
Okay, so Ron Paul probably doesn’t have any WMD and his absence from the podium won’t start a ten billion dollar a month war somewhere in the world…. but, he sure as hell has one active fundraising grassroots support team that is probably the envy of every other candidate at either debate, Republican or Democratic.
Fox News and most of the other media sources are afraid of what Ron Paul stands for, not necessarily his politics, but the rise of scattered American voices across the country, united in support of a candidate who dares to voice what so many think.
And, once again, the corporate fly swatter squashes another fly in their ointment.
