Paul and Kucinich on Bill Moyers’ Journal
Bill Moyers Journal, on PBS, hosted interviews with Congressmen Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich tonight. Both candidates, for one reason or another, have been eliminated from an upcoming debate in New Hampshire. I believe Paul will make an appearance on the ABC moderated Republican debate, but Kucinich has been rejected for the Democratic debate. Paul has been eliminated from the FOX format.
Both men have what Bill Moyers referred to as “contrarian” views and platforms. I took that to mean they stood for more change than the other candidates who are proposing platforms of change. Once I listened to both interviews I understood the “contrarian” concept. Admittedly, I love contrarian views.
Although my intention was to get a little rest, away from politics for the evening, I found myself glued to the television once again. I figured the media had made the decision that I shouldn’t be allowed to consider either Paul or Kucinich as a candidate. It’s obvious they don’t. And, for that very reason I had to see and hear them deliver their messages.
I have included the link to Bill Moyers Journal so anyone with interest can easily access the interviews. Both are worth the time. If one listens and comes away with nothing more than the knowledge that the media (big corporations) controls our elections by determining who will be seen and who will be eliminated, some knowledge has been gained.
