Zetia and Vitorin, the $4B annual earners for Schering-Plough and Merck, have proved to be a waste of money.  The standard statins will do the job.  All the bells and whistles that Zetia and Vitorin have promised to deliver are silent tonight.

Once again, Americans have been let down by the FDA, the agency that is supposed to protect consumers.  Remember when they let so many die after approving Vioxx?

Is there any doubt about the marital corruption that keeps the FDA and the pharmaceutical companies in the same bed? 

The problem is that the large pharmaceutical companies are well bedded with the whores of the FDA.  Again, this is the hold that corporate America has on the government.  Get it approved.  Make the money.  And, suddenly, OOPS!  I doesn’t work.  Or, worse… It kills.

That is corporate greed at its worst… willing to sell placebos or damaging drugs, to people who rely on these medications for life itself in some cases.  And, they are willing to let Americans die to do it. 

The FDA is controlled by the pharmaceutical companies of corporate America.  I would suggest go all natural, but the FDA is working to get the all natural vitamins and herbs off the counters.  Remember, the pharmaceutical companies convinced the FDA and Congress that it is better to treat cancer pain with morphine than marijuana. 

I conclude that the War on Drugs is going after the wrong Drug Lords.
