Dennis Kucinich to Debate in Nevada?

Either Dennis is included or the show is off.  That’s according to District Court Judge Charles Thompson.  Of course, NBC said they would appeal the decision.

So, what exactly does this tell us?  The media is trying to winnow the field.  They (the media) has dropped Dennis Kucinich from any air time.  John Edwards’ name is seldom mentioned.  In fact, I heard it once yesterday on the news.

Officially, Dennis Kucinich was invited to the Nevada Democratic Primary Debate.  Within the past few days, he was uninvited.  If this process is allowed to continue, the media will probably uninvite John Edwards from the South Carolina Debate that will be coming up later in the week.

If any candidate gets his/her name on a primary ballot, shouldn’t he/she be allowed the same opportunity to participate in all debates?  Do we really need to media to narrow the field to two?  I suppose in 2012 there will be no need for primaries at all.  Or, perhaps, the major corporations that control (not own) our airwaves will eventually… by 2016… just tell us who corporate America has decided will be the next president.

And, America sleeps….
