“Huck” and Chuck Chat Up Chattanooga

Sometimes it’s just too early in the day for politics, especially for Mike Huckabee and Chuck Norris.  Eight o’clock in the morning is one of those time.  But, who could resist?

Local politicians were out surrounding Mike and Chuck leading the crowd of about 400 in cheers proclaiming tomorrow (Super Tuesday) as “Mike Huckabee Day!”

All this comes amid Romney’s allegations that Huckabee is taking votes away from him and Huckabee responding that Romney is trying to suppress votes.  Oh, please.  That’s what primaries are about… letting the voters decide.

Well, folks, Huckabee says he’s in the race until the end.  John Edwards said the same thing in Chattanooga and two days later he dropped out.  I see the same end for Huckabee two days from now.

Huckabee claims he, like the New York Giants, can pull an upset.  Huckabee talked about his fair tax plan and proclaimed that he would fight for a Constitutional Amendment defining marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

Additionally Huckabee said that on the national security issue he would appoint Chuck Norris

“Walker: Texas Ranger” star as both Homeland Security and Defense secretary.

Well, I feel safer, don’t you?  I’m “assuming” that was a joke, although it’s not a joking matter.

In the meantime, Romney has been making his presence known as he stumped through Nashville, looking for the Music City vote.
