And, along with his win in Maine, Barack Obama now totals 943 delegates to Hillary Clinton’s 895 in total earned delegates. That does not include any Super Delegates, pledged or not. This figures are courtesy of MSNBC.
We can take a breather until Tuesday when another 237 delegates come into play as Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia take their turns voicing their choices.
It’s hard to project a winner among the earned delegates as the pendulum swings from left to “more left”. But, if momentum has anything to do with it, Barack has closed the earned delegate gap and has taken the lead. Granted, it’s a small lead, but it’s still indicating that his momentum is growing along with the size of the crowds he draws. Hillary seems to be plugging along steadily. I can’t count her out. She’s still got some fight left.
Who knows? For today, it’s Barack in the winner’s circle. We will have to wait and see what Tuesday brings.
