Forewarned is Forearmed: Donna Edwards Defeats Incumbent Albert Wynn
I don’t know much about politics in Maryland, but I know one thing for sure. When Maryland voters aren’t happy with their representation in Washington they will make a change. Representative Wynn may be the first incumbent to be ousted by the voters this season, but he won’t be the last.
The message of the Democratic Party this season is “Change”. The message has reached the people. The people are responding to it and taking action. Personally, I know very little about Donna Edwards. What I have read and seen on television has been impressive. She gathered votes from citizens who know what Wynn is about. Voting for her was perhaps a risk. She has no track record. But, that’s where we find ourselves this year.
Most folks are looking at the Democratic Party as the party of hope right now. The focus is to win the national Presidential election. But, as evidenced by Donna Edwards’ win over an incumbent, the Democratic voters have been beaten to a new low in morale and a new high in hope for the future. And, while we are insisting on change in the White House, we are forewarning the fat, greedy Dems who have been sitting on our “Ass” not performing as “we, the people” wish. No one is safe in his or her House or Senate seat.
We will vote you out of the comforts of Washington if you continue to turn a deaf ear on your constituents. Forewarned is forearmed.
