Popeye McCain Knows War, Not Economics

Popeye McCain is ready for the general election. But, is America ready for him?
Coming from a long list of Navy men and having been a POW in Viet Nam, McCain knows war and one would think he would know torture. Maybe he does. Maybe he doesn’t. It’s hard to tell based on his recent dialogue followed by his recent vote.
When we listen to Popeye McCain speak of torture, he admonishes waterboarding as nothing but. He made that abundantly clear in his debates. There was a time when he called out his fellow candidates, chastising Romney for not specifically stating that waterboarding was torture.
However, in the past week, when a vote came before the Senate, Old Popeye either suffered a bout of Alzheimer’s or believes that torture is okay for those we hold prisoner or for detainees. He voted to allow the CIA to use waterboarding as an interrogation procedure.
But, it really isn’t his view that the War in Iraq should last longer than him, or you and me for that matter, but it’s his lack of experience and knowledge when it comes to economics. I watched his eyes glaze over this morning when questioned about our economic “downturn” and what his proposals would be. He would propose Jack Kemp, and another cohort, and another cohort. Again, McCain ran through a litany of those people who may know something about the subject. Is that good enough for America?
I’m guessing that Popeye doesn’t know Jack S*&^ , just Jack Kemp.
