Representative Henry Waxman has asked for an investigation as to whether baseball pitcher Roger Clemens lied about his use of “performance enhancing drugs” when he testified before Congress.

Maybe I just don’t get it.  I would be happy to have it explained to me.  But, what is going on in Washington?  We have FISA listening in on our telephones.  We have FEMA distributing toxic trailers.  We have the FDA approving harmful drugs.  We have people being forced from their homes due to foreclosures.  We have people across the nation who are out of work because it is cheaper to export the jobs than the products these workers once made.  We have Marines who can’t get armored vehicles to protect them in the war.  We have troops on the ground in Iraq that are on their third or fourth deployments.  Need I go on?

And, we are still wasting taxpayers’ time and money trying to determine if Roger Clemens got a shot in the ass!  Oh, please. 

If I were an employee and spent half my time polishing my nails I would be fired.  What this House committee is doing is just about as important and maybe we should consider firing them.  Now, if anyone can explain to me why Roger Clemens is so important on a national level, please explain it to me.  Please….
