The House Listens to the People, Not the President
According to an NPR report:
House lawmakers passed a bill Wednesday to take away $18 billion in tax breaks for U.S. oil companies and use that money to promote renewable energies. Republicans say taking away the tax breaks could make it harder for U.S. companies to compete globally.
As the President whined to the American public about FISA and the need for tax breaks for big oil companies, the House of Representatives once again (that’s two in a row) had already stood up to the President and ignored his threats of vetoes and admonitions.
Let’s just hope the Senate can muster the guts of the House and follow suit.
