BernieHund: The Political Watchdog

Well, maybe this isn’t going to be as easy as some expected.  Could it be that some of our Representatives in the House have heard the call?  Is it that so many of us have flooded the Capitol with phone calls?

The Representatives know that this is an election year.  Yep!  Everyone of them will have his name on a ballot this year.  Rep. Steny Hoyer who was looking forward to ending the FISA stand off this week will have to wait.  There is still disagreement on the language and the amnesty for telecom issues. 

For those who have had the courage to stand up for the good fight, please continue to stand.  For anyone who hasn’t called his or her Representative, there is no time like the present.

We have seen from testimony this very week what can and will happen when you give an inch.  FBI Director Mueller has not yet produced all the evidence, but there is substantial testimony before Congress for us to know that government agencies with a little power will expand its use and then abuse it until they are called out on it.  Mueller is reporting abuses from his own department after an investigation.

We know what can happen and will happen when we give too much to too many.  We have seen abuse after abuse during the present administration.  And, once again, saying “I’m sorry” after the fact won’t work any more.  Get a FISA warrant and do it right.
