Wyoming Tests the Mettle of Caucus Goers and Candidates

Some Wyoming caucus goers will begin the process as early as 7:30 a.m.  That will be a real test of the Democratic voters.  I’m not sure I could manage it.  The first thing I did this morning was check the weather conditions in Jackson Hole.  Brrrrr.  The temperature was a freezing 10 degrees with the chill factor lowering the feel to 1 degree… yep!  ONE DEGREE!

Anyone participating in the caucus was to arrive about thirty minutes ahead of time, that’s 7:00 a.m.  And, they were told they may have to wait outside for a while before entering the caucus area.  Brrrr.

Caucuses will be held at various times throughout the day depending on the location.  But, let’s face it… 7:00 a.m. and a wind chill of 1 degree will test the mettle of any caucus goer.

Yet, the importance of the caucuses in Wyoming haven’t counted for so much since 1960, when John Kennedy was running for the Democratic Party nomination.  The Democrats of Wyoming turned out then and hopefully they will turn out today.
