Mississippi Votes

Today is about as quiet as it gets on the voting scene.  There are thirty-three delegates up for grabs and the candidates have done what they can to influence the voters.

If anything has been made perfectly clear during the lead up to today’s vote, it is that Obama is going for the win.  He isn’t interested in being Clinton’s second.  And, it seems that the voters of Mississippi, at least going into the day, have seen the Clinton game for what it is.  We will have to wait and see if that carries through to the polls.

Hillary Clinton left Mississippi first, followed by Barack Obama.  Both were headed to Pennsylvania to begin a month long campaign, hoping to attract the larger numbers of delegates that state has up for grabs.

By night, Mississippi should have parceled out their 33 delegates.  It is expected that Obama will take the majority, but there has been little talk about the expected split.
