Edwards 2008

Oh, for God’s sake!  We all know that Barack Obama is black.  We all know that Hillary Clinton is a woman.  And, quite honestly over the past year I’ve heard debate about both those statements.  But, that said, let’s just accept that Barack is black and Hillary is a woman.

Let’s just accept that Geraldine Ferraro is in that older generation that just doesn’t get it.  She’s in the same boat with poor old Jeremiah Wright.  That’s a great thought.  Put those two on a boat and push it away from the dock.  They would probably kill one another before they thought about saving their lives.  That’s how damned ignorant and insulting this past week has been.  Put that on top of a Harvard educated adviser using “monster” as a name to call Hillary and yeah, we have gotten so far off the track that I’m about ready to pack up my blue ass and go home.

Everyone knows that Obama and Rezko and Rezko and everyone else who ever ran for office have a connection.  Everyone knows that there is some vague, yet ominous reason that Hillary won’t release her taxes and Bill won’t tell who gave money for his library.  We all know theses things.  Look, there aren’t any real saints in the Democratic Party.

So, let’s call a one day moratorium on the name calling and the accusations and see if we can convince either the Obama campaign or the Clinton campaign that unless they get back on track and offer some solutions to these crises we are facing as a nation, they don’t deserve to be in the White House.

I was so excited about this campaign year.  For a while I was excited about the national debate on the issues.  I was involved.  I felt involved and I cared about who our next President will be.  Right now, both Obama’s campaign and Clinton’s campaign are disgracing the Democratic Party and we are losing interest.

I’m thinking about writing John Edwards name in on my ballot in November.  Call it a wasted vote?  From what I’ve seen this past week, I would rather waste it than continue to listen to the childish name calling and accusations.

Someone needs to bitch slap both candidates and let’s get on with electing a nominee.
