Florida Will Not Hold A Do Over
Florida has decided not to hold a do-over primary election. That should come as no surprise. Let’s face it, they don’t play well by the rules and when they do play, the all too often get it wrong.
Financially, Florida is not in a position to reprint all the ballots and open the polls. When talk came up of mail-in ballots, one reporter said it best. “We don’t need Florida getting creative.”
Based on the past history of hanging chads, recounts ended by the Supreme Court, and voters being turned away at the polling places, can anyone imagine what could happen to mail-in ballots. I can only imagine fifty years into the future when someone discovers a USPS truck in a salvage yard filled to the brim with ballots, all marked for Barack Obama…. or Hillary Clinton.
So, what are the Democrats going to do now to settle this mess? Blame it on the Republican legislature and governor of Florida who forced the early vote? Something to keep in mind the next time the polls open in Florida.
