Hillary Clinton: Earmark This!
Hillary Clinton who voted against earmarks in the recent amendment before the Senate must have had a change of heart right before the vote. She ranks second in the Senate for earmarks. Funny how we change our positions when the eyes of the nation are watching.
Last week the Senate passed a Budget Resolution, but failed to pass the moratorium on earmarks, an amendment to the Budget Resolution. Senators Clinton, Obama and McCain, all presidential candidates, all voted for the moratorium. All three of those still in the race for the presidency were listed as co-sponsors of the amendment along with thirteen other senators.
But, that flies in the face of how Senator Clinton has felt about earmarks prior to the vote apparently. It is reported that Senator Clinton received $340,000,000 in earmarks for New York.
Did she get everything she wanted? Or, did she fear that the voters would discover that she is one of the biggest spenders in the Senate? Well, the cat is out of the bag. In the most recent report, Senator Clinton is ranked #2.
Senator Clinton has stump stomped proudly stating that she was a co-sponsor of the moratorium amendment. But, she has already robbed the piggy bank.
