John McCain on Housing and the Role of Vice President

John McCain has obviously moved on from the biography tour, realizing that not too many of us were interested.  Now, he is talking policy and his political ideas.

Of particular note, yesterday on The View and later in a speech in New York, McCain said that something needs to be done to help people facing foreclosure on their primary residence, providing they are qualified for a mortgage.  He included that the funding could come through the FHA.

I don’t know exactly how his plan works, but on The View he mentioned something about picking up an application at the Post Office, completing it and mailing it in.  I have to believe there is more to it than that, but perhaps he hasn’t quite figured that part out yet.

One of the more interesting comments he made was concerning the role of his Vice President, should he be elected.  According to McCain, the Vice President has two duties.  The first is to break any tie votes in the Senate.  The other is to check on the President’s health everyday.  Ah…

Okay.  Maybe someone should have told Dick.
