Oh, No! Mr. Bill Tells the Story of the Story Wrong

I’ll let it go if Bill will let it go.  That’s the way I feel about the Bosnia claims made a month ago by Hillary Clinton.  But, no.  Bill has to step up to the plate and try to defend the little lady… and only makes matters worse.  Maybe his mother should have told him the same thing mine told me.  Don’t stir the sh…. or, well…. You know.

So, we all kind of accepted that Hillary misspoke on several occasions about her flight into Bosnia.  And, although she did it more than once, perhaps trying to convince herself that was the way the trip unfolded, it had somewhat died down.  At least it wasn’t the headlines.  But, oh, no!  Mr. Bill had to come to her defense again and say that she is being picked on for a little misstatement of fact.

But, in his effort, Mr. Bill didn’t even get the situation in which she told the “misstatement” correct.  He said it was late at night, as if she were fatigued and it was the end of the day.  That’s not exactly the way it happened… on any of the occasions.  So, we could let that go, but the part about Eleanor Roosevelt being the only First Lady to go into a war zone, well… a stretch.  Even Barbara Bush made a trip to Saudi Arabia at the time right before we bombed the hell our of Iraq the first time.  But…. so….

Mr. Bill, let it go.  And, so will I.  It’s no wonder the senator told her husband to back off and let her do it.
