The Clintons Win Pennsylvania (Updated)
It’s too early to say by how much, but according to everyone with a television crew Hillary and Bill win Pennsylvania. At this point the margin appears to be somewhere between six and eight percent. And, the pundits are going crazy.
From my seat, the Pennsylvania vote is going exactly as predicted. While Hillary had a 20% lead six weeks ago, it seems to be narrowing to the margin that everyone expected and predicted. That said, every television spinster is either burying Hillary or celebrating the resurrection. This gives everyone a chance to speak an opinion, but let’s face it at 9:30 p.m. on April 22, 2008, the results are exactly what everyone expected. Maybe by midnight, something will change.
Update: Sure enough, it’s almost midnight and the Clinton spread appears to be 10 points. Unfortunately, that isn’t quite enough to make Senator Clinton look like the Democratic nominee, nor is the spread in the single digits as some suspected. Reports had been that a single digit spread would have taken her out of the race. Personally, I don’t think anything is going to take her out unless Indiana and North Carolina both go with 10 point spreads to Obama.
Well…. Obama is already in Indiana and has given a speech before a cheering crowd tonight. We are two weeks away from the Indiana and North Carolina primaries. It should get interesting.
