Well, the little lady is campaigning in Indiana and if she were Catholic, her story would fall into the category of a “sin of omission.”  I’m beginning to wonder if Hillary Clinton can tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.  Obviously, not today!

Senator Hillary Clinton out stump stomping in Indiana stopped by Valparaiso to talk about jobs, jobs, jobs.  That’s what the voters in Indiana want to hear about.  Outside the MagneGen plant, now closed and weathering, one can see the empty run-down building that once housed a vibrant work force.  MagneGen makes magnetic pipes, and magnetic parts that are used by the Defense Department.

Senator Clinton spent the speech talking about Bush and job loss across America.  Well, that was the part that is undeniably true.  What she failed to tell… the sin of omission… was that MagneGen was sold to the Chinese in 1995 and the sale was approved by Bill when he was President.  It was reported at that time that there was much Congressional opposition to the sale, due to the nature of the business and the possibility of jobs leaving Indiana.

Well…. Bill approved the sale.  The Chinese bought MagneGen.  And, today Chinese workers are making parts for our national defense. 

Aside from the fact that Valparaiso lost a plant, workers lost jobs, the state of Indiana is suffering from manufacturers’s moves to other countries… aside from all that… we have a Chinese owned company making parts for the DOD.  I feel for the people who are without work.  But, in light of the recent Chinese quality control… killing our pets with tainted pet food… killing our citizens with tainted heparin… I’m not too comfortable with them manufacturing parts for the DOD.

And, in this case Hillary…. it isn’t on Bush’s back.  It’s on Bill’s.
