Obama Takes Guam by 7 Votes
Who would have thought that Guam would have been so important in our nominating process? Perhaps, this is a major swing of momentum back towards Obama. (Surely, I jest.)
Well, it seems that there were 8 pledged delegates up for grabs as Guam headed to the caucuses today. But, each of the eight only get a half vote at the Democratic National Convention. There are five Super Delegates from Guam who will also be attending the Denver Convention.
The race was close… as close an any dares to be. The final tally showed that Barack Obama won by a grand total of 7 votes, 2264 to Clinton’s 2257.
Neither candidate made personal appearances in Guam, although both did television ads and interviews, scrapping for every half vote. Of interest, although Guam takes part in the nomination process, the residents do not get to vote in November.
