Barack and Roll, Hillary on the Dole
Barack did roll through North Carolina and won the primary with flying colors and at this time it looks like a 14 point win. Hillary eked out a squeaker in Indiana. It came out this morning that the senator from New York has once again dipped into the Bill and Hill kitty, pulling out another $6.4 Million to keep her campaign going.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton lent her presidential campaign $6.4 million over the past month, her campaign said Wednesday, underscoring the financial advantage held by her rival, Barack Obama.
The money more than doubled Clinton’s personal investment in her bid for the Democratic nomination. She gave her campaign $5 million earlier this year.
A campaign aide said Clinton gave her campaign another $5 million on April 11, more than a week before the Pennsylvania primary. She then again dipped into her personal wealth for $1 million last week and $425,000 on Monday, one day before the North Carolina and Indiana primaries.
And, that’s that. But, what are the analysts and pundits saying today? It depends on where you turn your ear. I am always amazed at how the spin is spun after a primary. Some are saying that it’s over for Hillary. Some are saying that she should trudge onward.
The great debate continues as to whether the Super Delegates should emerge and commit. There is talk about how the Democratic Party is splitting at the seams. There is talk that once the primaries are over, the party will come together.
There is talk and that’s about all it is. For all the speculation and spin, all we know for sure is that today is another day and the candidates are moving on.
