CNN has had the cameras turned towards the presentations since before 10:00 this morning. And, things started off very well, or so it seemed.
Florida went first with four speakers presenting their case for delegates seating in Denver. There wasn’t too much to add to what was said. The four presenters, two seeming to represent Florida, one representing Hillary Clinton and the last representing Barack Obama seemed to have reached a unified front before sitting before the RBC offering a solution for the Florida voters and potential delegates.
Then, four representatives, two from Michigan representing the DNC in the state and the voters, and one each from the Clinton and Obama camps presented their views. Perhaps there was a little disagreement on how many delegates should go to Clinton and how many should be put in the Obama count. The state representatives seemed to want all the delegates seated at the convention and suggested that 69 delegates be assigned to Clinton and 59 to Obama. The Clinton representative suggested that she receive 73 and Obama receive 55. And, Obama’s camp jousted for a 64-64 tie.
In all probability as the debate begins, none of the suggestions from either state will be the final answer. At 2:30 the RBC recessed for lunch until 4:15p.m. At 6:00p.m. apparently they are still at lunch or have been kidnapped. With all the talk having been about the timeline for the primaries, it would seem that the RBC would attempt a little timeliness.
