Health Care Summit: Sen. John Boehner Speaks at 3:30

by sinde on February 25, 2010

Well, we should have seen it coming.  Boehner (R-Ohio) sat like a cat on a hot tin roof during most of the summit.  When he finally spoke, his first words were almost positive — ALMOST.

But, his second statement turned every bit of effort the others made to come to some sort of resolution upside down.  Let’s face a little reality.  Boehner is not going to agree with anything.  We all know that.  And, to be honest, he stood true to his negative self.

And, when all else failed — ah, I thought they were looking for common ground —Boehner suggested that they start “with a clean sheet of paper” or scrap the present bill.  Of course, he had to throw in the abortion issue.

President Obama responded that ever so often they seem to get something accomplished, but then — Boehner speaks.  Well, Obama didn’t say it like that, but anyway you listen to it, Obama told Boehner that he is negative, as always.
