Playboy Magazine Adds Its Name to News Breakers

by sinde on December 20, 2009

Most men have claimed to read “Playboy” because of the articles.  Forget about the pictures.  Many housewives have claimed that “The Enquirer” has real news stories, setting aside the one about Hillary and the aliens.  Today let’s give both their dues.

As we remember “The Enquirer” was the first to break the John Edwards’ infidelity story.  In fact it was “The Enquirer” that trapped Edwards in the bathroom of a high class Los Angeles hotel at 2:00 in the morning after he visited his baby’s mama.

Now Playboy writer Aram Roston has exposed how Dennis Montgomery duped the Pentagon and earned lots and lots of tax payer dollars while single-handedly keeping our “fear alert” on orange during much of the Bush administration.

Here is the basic premise of the story.  Dennis Montgomery, whoever he is, claimed that Al Jazeera’s television broadcasts contained code that told Al Qaeda where the next terrorist strike would be.  According to Montgomery the messages were embedded in the digital code.  In other words, the pixels were sending the messages.

So, according to the “Playboy” article Montgomery had a partner named Warren Trepp — the same Warren Trepp who was Michael Miliken’s right hand man back during the junk bond scandal.  Seems that the company in question actually belonged to Trepp who hired Dennis Montgomery.  Dennis Montgomery then talked the CIA into a contract for decoding these digital terrorist messages.

Here’s the bottom line of the report.  A couple of con men sold a bogus idea to the top minds — those who are supposed to be the techies — in the CIA and Pentagon.  They were paid for several years for decoding the “chatter” that kept America in fear.  We all remember “chatter,” don’t we?  And, we certainly do remember that little meter that colored our fear levels day by day.  It was all a scam.

The article is ”The Man Who Conned The Pentagon.”  Makes for good reading — at least according to my husband.  :)

By the way, sorry about no pics, guys.
