I’ll keep this short and sweet. Sarah Palin delivered the speech of the convention. Of course, perhaps I’m making that judgment without hearing Senator McCain’s, but what’s the use? We know McCain can’t top Palin with a teleprompter.
Governor Palin’s delivery was excellent. The speech was well written, although we have no idea who wrote it. Palin went for the gut of the Democratic Party, Barack Obama in particular. She landed quite a few verbal blows. The twinkle in her eyes showed confidence. She laid the groundwork for the fight to come.
Unfortunately, she didn’t tell us what happened to the federal funds that were designated for the “Bridge to Nowhere.” And, she gave us little substance to chew on. The speech was an attack but there were no definitive plans of substance.
It’s too early to tell. But, for all the enthusiasm generated tonight we still don’t know Sarah Palin.
