This morning Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner introduced his new economic plan. The plan includes the Department of Treasury, FDIC and the Federal Reserve Bank working together.
Geithner offered a brief overview of the plan that includes public and private sector investments to unfreeze the credit market and invest in small businesses with transparency. The plan includes provisions for helping homeowners although Mr. Geithner did not elaborate.
To see the full speech and to stay abreast of all activities, Geithner introduced a new website: FinancialStability.gov
At the time of this writing the speech has not been uploaded to the site. However, it is a site that will be bookmarked for future reference.
Perhaps more information will be made available this afternoon as Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner testifies before the Senate Banking Committee.
